Sensaciones

Sensations

Opening the door to go out and having the oppressing feeling of humidity and thirty degrees hiding your entire body. Knowing that the rest of the day your skin is going to have a thin layer of sweat and pollution. It is going to be absolutely sticky. Running during a few minutes thru narrow streets accompanied by slow phase people, motorcycle, trolleys, cockroach, cats without tail and rats crossing the streets without any fear. Until arriving to Soi Songphra with Siphraya road, where the most pleasant and foul smells are going to arrive all together.  Omelet with sausage, eggs, meat and cream, fish ball soup, pineapple, watermelon, squids mixed with waste, dogs, smoke and tires. Surrounded by a loud buzz provoked by cars, buses, motorcycle, food trolleys in movement and people ordering . Thus all the city briefly appeals your senses until a motor-taxi stops to go across Chinatown and arriving to Ratchawong.
It is a fact, some kind of things are made to feel it. During the last weeks Bangkok has appeared so overwhelming that I gave up the idea to understand in western terms how I'm seeing this culture so differently. So far, I think that the lack of hierarchy or attempt at organizing is being replaced with some kind of confident in the people surrounding you.  Obtaining as a result an atmosphere with peace conditioned for intense smells, flavour and rhythms.
Due to all of this, I'm camouflaging with the environment,  gathering chaotic experiences based on the improvisation and some rules which aren't established as well as a narrow dependence on the Seven Eleven and all the kind of taxi, motor-taxi, tuk-tuk, boats...Where everything can be possible and it doesn't matter if you are lost, and you have no idea in which area of the city you are located, neither what day, and less what hour is it. Obtaining as a result the amazing emotions of twenty four hours are stretched that's seems like a week.

The question that I'm bringing up is seeing how a place full of intense sensitive perceptions are modifying the architectonic, urban and public spaces.
